Very good immersion blender, and nice assortment of accessories. But IMHO it was just overpriced when I bought it (it has dropped here on Amazon since then) as I'm writing this is is available at just under $47. I bought it on an Amazon Warehouse deal (resale of returned "like new" item) for Very Very low $$. Regardless of the price, this is a quality product, and has all the power I need, and looks like it will last quite a while. I mainly got this because another person I know claimed the potato masher actually works on this brand, and I have to agree that it does the job quite well, though I admit I've only run it through 3 batches of potatoes, about 7-8 med-large russets each time. (I have another brand with what appears to be a very similar masher that worked for about 15 seconds then started making noises inside and jammed up). The only reason I dinged it a star is what some may feel is unfair, as it was probably caused by Amazon Warehouse. When the Item arrived both the shipping carton and the Electrolux box appeared undamaged, but later when I went to use it I found that the mixing beaker was missing. While I was still inside the return window, I could have sent it back for refund (I could not just do a replacement as there were no more previously returned items available at that time) but then I would have to buy a "new-new" unit for significantly more money. So what I'm saying is this is a review of "Amazon "RETURNED/RENEWED" Electrolux Immersion Blender" more than just the blender.
